An IntroductionThe Inspiration
The geniuses- Theresa and Jenny [Lam] have always had a love for acting like little kids, so one day, they ran to a field of grass and saw
dandelions and decided to pick them. Then the thought came up- What if one could grow dandelions? And nurture them? And water and harvest and
make products out of them? So the very generous pair blew off the seeds into a container, which they later presented to Jenny Nguyen as a gift.
These seeds were planted in her backyard- the first dandelion farm ever. After further research, it
occurred to them how useful dandelions
could be. So they started their business. But there is another side, apart from the business side. Dandelions have always been thought of
as weeds. It was time to show the world that dandelions are, in fact, not weeds but are as useful as vegetables or as beautiful as other flowers.
If there are days such as Valentine's Day where roses are adored, or Daffodil Day where daffodils are celebrated, why can't dandelions be celebrated?
What We Do
Basically, we plant dandelions
on the front oval of Sefton High School, our farmers pick them and we use half of the dandelions to plant more dandelions, and the
other half to make produce. The company manufactures things such as fried dandelions, dandelion jam, dandelion wine, dandelion seeds
in packets [for further germination], and there's more, so much more that we can't remember them at the moment. For full info on dandelions, click 'Dandelion Facts' on the menu.
Who We Are
Fields of Dandelions is a main sector within the multi-million dollar business, Tasty Carrot, which wishes to, in future, vertically and horizontally
integrate into a greenhouse-making factory, Westfield's Shopping Town, Cadbury-Schweppes, Happy Cup, Volkswagen and Coca-Cola. Fields of Dandelions is
currently undergoing the decision of whether to be a propriety limited or a franchise. Please speak to the financial advisor; Ida Nguyen
for more information.

It is currently Friday Week B, which means we are in the middle of a Commerce lesson, meaning we are in the middle of a business meeting. We are in the library at the moment. AND JENNY ROCKS. And everyone is bludging. We aren't really making any progress. Everyone's drooling over me and Jenny Lam's blogs. Jenny Lam is right next to me. Talking about ...her dead internet. Ida is asking Jenny about her internet. Amanda is...gazing at our proness and everyone's telling me I'm pro just to see the dirties I chuck them when they say it. This is so borrrriinnnnnngggggggggggg. ITS FRIDAY! Moon Festival is this Sunday. I don't think we're getting a dandelion stall. I'm going to be working at Jenny's stall. Jenny GUO that is. Maybe I can convince her mum into allowing me to sell dandelions? Jenny Lam is working for ME. She's gonna buy me lunch and get me drinks whenever I want one. I have to pay her 17.5% of my pay. I think that's too much. Jenny just bumped her elbow. Everyone's going high around me. Aiyyaa

Yes, the website is UP! Ida Nguyen [the financial manager] has been nagging me for DAYS to get the website done. And I finished in 24 hours. Impressive, eh Ida? I think Ida wishes to have this website done so we can brainwash people into investing in our company. I don't think I was meant to say that, but whatever. Ida also told us not to mention that in order to get the capital to start up the business, we would be- as our motto says- "SCAM! HACK! STALK!". Yes, she told us not to mention that here either in case our ... consumers get frightened or something, but whoops, too late, I said it already [ahahahahas]. But it doesn't matter if someone sues us, we have a LAWYER! Her name's Amanda and she has a degree in photography, law and accounting. I think they're hallucinated university degrees. But no matter. She will get us out of court if there is a need. I don't think there is.
Anyways, *newsflash!*- we held a meeting the other day about whether or not we would set up a stall in the Cabramatta Moon Festival. A stall is about $360 for a food stall of 2.4m x 2.4m, from 1pm - 8pm. Ida told us it would be a loss and we would not make any profit whatsoever. And we have to listen to her otherwise she will ditch us and we will go bankrupt.
That's all for now- the BOSS- x3.theresa
Dandelion Facts
Things I Bet you Didn't KnowHow Dandelions Reproduce
Dandelions are ASEXUAL, meaning that they don't need pollen from another dandelion to make seeds. The life cycle of a dandelion goes like this:
1. A dandelion seed is blown away by the wind and lands in some soil, where it will start to germinate.
2. The seed turns into those yellow flowers referred to as 'the common weed that grows on the lawn'
3. When the it has finished flowering, the flower will turn to seeds. The whole head of the flower will close up and the green bracts underneath the flower will close around the seeds. The yellow petals will disappear and the seeds mature.
4. Then this new seed head will open up and white fluffy dandelion fluffs can be seen
5. When these fluffy dandelion seeds are blown, they lands elsewhere and the cycle begins again.
Fascinating huh? I bet you didn't know that either. So blow dandelions and encourage the growth of dandelions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is this company for real? Is it made up or what?
Q. You are going to go BANKRUPT!
A. Are you just saying that so we can give in so that you can take over and be successful? Are you trying to stab us in the back?
Q. Are those facts on dandelions real?
A. Yes they ARE! Just google 'dandelions' and read the results.
Q. When will I receive my employee benefits?
A. You will honey, don't worry, it's just probably lost in the mail or something.
Q. Where can I find the company?
A. In your dreams. Or you could find our 'field' in the front oval of SHS.
Q. Your farmer is disturbing me.
A. No matter, she's always like that.
Q. How can I attend one of your business meetings?
A. Our meetings are conducted in every commerce class where all the sub-sector directors are present. For those of you who don't know when this is, it's...*takes deep breath*- in Week A's, Monday 2nd period and Wednesday 3rd period, in Week B's, Monday 3rd period, Tuesday&Wednesday 2nd period and Friday last period! Hope to see you there.
Q. Dandelions are weeds.
A. No they aren't, not if you don't want them to be. A weed is defined as "as plant that grows where it is not wanted", so if you want the
dandelion to be there, it's not a weed.
Q. I don't like dandelions.
A. Go fug yourself
